I think these are being marketed as the "ketchup and fries" plant or something. : )
Curious to know how productive they really are.

Ahhh! Frankengarden! Grab your pitchforks! Grab your torches! Lol. They are related and it makes sense because if you sow tomatoes and potatoes close together, the potato plants will have little green pomatoes on them, just don't eat those.

you might be able to set up a still and make some vinager with both the tomatos and the potatos. i dont know much about that though. HAHAHA.
I also wonder how productive they would be producing 2 fruits. hmmm looks really cool though!
SR have you seen the tree of 40 fruit? 40 different stone fruits grafted on to one tree. LOL. really cool. I like this kinda stuff.

I tried it a few years ago but the graft didn't hold. The potato branch grew too quickly for the tomato stem.

My sister in law works at a nursery and grafts tomato plants onto a onto another type of tomatoe plant that has a stronger root system. I never knew they did that, interesting stuff.

No I haven't heard of the 40 fruit, off to Google I go lol. Sounds interesting. My mom planted an apple when I was a child that was supposed to have five types of apples on it, however sadly it kicked the bucket before any apples came.thegawd wrote:QR_BBPOST you might be able to set up a still and make some vinager with both the tomatos and the potatos. i dont know much about that though.
