William Dam Seed catalog came in the mail this week.

Got my flower seeds picked out that I want to start for Son's wedding in July.

Anyone else thought of their garden plans for next year????? Will be so nice to work in my garden in 2016 without knee pain

awesome! i have my veseys, stokes, dam seeds and OSC catalogues.....can't wait to see the new stuff they all have, and then get started on planning my gardens! i'm already pretty sure on the vegetables i want to grow, but i always find new annuals to put in. :)

I need a professional to come over and tell me what can grow in what soils lol!! I haven't had much success and I don't know why. I've always had amazing gardens, flower and vegetable, despite my dislike (more like hatred) of gardening. Since I've moved here I haven't had much success but I've never worked in this type of soul before...one day I'll figure it out

There's gotta be a hundred books at your public library.
I also heard of people that buy bales of potting soil or peat moss to use in the chicken house for litter: happy chickens happy plants

This week I have been going through the seeds I have left from last year and making a list of what I need to order. I am ordering from William Dam, Verseys and Terra Edibles this year. Also plan on ordering some strawberry plants, and possibly raspberries.

Oh and potatoes from Eagle Creek and a couple heritage apple trees from a local nursery.

I love seed catalogs and pore over them religiously every year, even though I'm pretty much VERY well set up with my own saved seeds. Gotta check to see if there's something cool I want to try.

I have my Veseys and Dam's so far. I AM SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE THEM NEXT DOOR!! SOOO many seeds, beautiful trial gardens.... and best of all... they 'rent' a patch of land here for some trials... and when they grow all their winter squashes... well... lets just say, I don't have to plant any of my own that year, lol. And, best of best of all... I get $400 for that patch... and of course, I spend it there!! Win win for us both... although I have a tidy credit there now, and if I want.. I can grab some cash out of it.

They have a new winter squash... butternut... dont have my book handy at the moment.... a small single serving one, I am excited to try!! Love winter squash!
