Poultry Talk Ontario (pto.ca)

I am wondering what this is. I have never let it grow up the side of the house before, but this year I was like pffft what ever I don't have time to deal with it yet. I have never let it get to the bulb stage
Looks like it's a keeper. The hummingbirds and bees love them!!

yep! Trumpet vine! will cover fences etc beautifully, but if it is up the house it will tear the house apart over time with the little tendrilly things they hang on with.

yup trumpet vine. Good luck with it. They are almost impossible to control or kill. I wish I didn't have one.

I agree with goatgirl at my house for 4 years now I've been trying to get rid of it. Beautiful flowers but at my place it goes wild at my mom's place, she can't even get it to grow. Go figure.

LOL goatgal. yep, i ended up having to paint mine with roundup to get rid of it years ago. whatever you do, do NOT rototill it to tear it down. all the little root bits sprout and then it's a REAL problem. birds, bees, hummingbirds, they all love it, but it just grows too much, too high, too fast and is too hard on what it's climbing up. if it would STAY on a trellis, it would be fine!

I have been calling it Spider-Man's bush because of the web-like prints it leaves behind. Very annoying. And it makes sense why it has been diligent in growing each season. Again and again.

Makes sense because the hummers love it!!

Mine reliably freezes to the ground each year but comes back.
