Did you get it? There's been a lot take this year in deer season down here! Some with really neat colouring too. One almost totally black, and another that had the german shepherd black back saddle....

that black one is gorgeous. down here we have pure eastern yotes...but we also have wild dog x yotes. been confirmed genetically. i have seen both...we have the yotes - smaller long legs and typical yote shape. lanky and about 20-30 pounds at the most. the brush wolf (as they are called here) run 60-65 pounds and are built like german shepherds or one of the heavier working dogs. still long legged but stand quite a bit taller than yotes - and much heavier. they hunt in packs and will take down full grown deer. i have been face to face with them a couple of times. i am not scared of yotes but these mixes are more dangerous....

Unless hunting xbow I always carry a “truck” gun shortened barrel 12 ga with a shell sock loaded on in when wandering in bush anytime especially down by river when fishing . Been stalked a few times .

Coyote sounds much nicer than yotes. ( I like coyotes, I think they are pretty, it's my ring tone, a coyote howl)
That black one is really pretty, looks a lot like a dog.
I don't remember any coyotes here as a kid, where did they come from? Did the government bring them here?

When the wolves were desimated in Ont a predator gap was here . The coyotes moved in to take over coming from prairies . I’ve heard they really surfaced in the mid to late 50 s .

Do you have the wolf/coyote crosses there? I think the black one looks like one.
