It’s been said we do and 10 years ago sitting in a bush on a real snowy day I had something enormass go by me & up a draw but couldn’t even hardly make out otherwise a dog of some sort in the snow but I’m sure it was a least a cross by size .

There are lots of coyotes here; we hear them yipping quite often.

The off-colours like black comes from recent interbreeding with domestic dogs. In wolves as well. Most wolf varieties hunt and kill coyotes. Kill off the wolves, and the coyotes move up and move in, which is exactly what has happened.
