Re: More Falcon Training
Are you accounting for "fighting weight" before or after egg laying?
Might make a difference in length of flight calculations?
Not sure where to insert the carrot in the equation

Insert the carrot euphemistically, into desired position.

Re: More Falcon Training
Well the children of a friend saw me doing falconry. I had a male falcon, a half brother to Perry, and theythought they should have him too. They are not going to train him to hunt like me, but want him to be sort of a pet and hewill also (maybe) protect their chickens, they only have hens. So off he went to a new home just before Christmas.
Kiona and Frank decided his name is Hans Crolo. They bring him into the house for a little breakfast some days, and Kiona is starting to train him to come to the hand. I think its great, to have had an influence on some young folks, that can share my passion for falconry.

And another enthusiast. This is my trapping buddy Cohen from Harrow, starting to train his falcon. Gotta get the kids into stuff you enjoy.

You bet I like them non hooked bill raptor/falcons too Farrier . We used to raise cage birds . Mostly cockatiels (still have one 19 yr old one ) left . Still to this day the rotten little pot licker will try to rip your fingers off in a flash if yu grab him .
I had primates that were better behaved than some cockatiels . Straight bills rock .
