No worries here KimChick we are all good. 😀

Everyone fishing that requires a licence based on there age has a licence and the catch limit for Lake Erie is 6 walleye per person.

Lake Erie is a walleye (pickerel) factory they commercial fish for walleye on Lake Erie and the commercial quotes are up this year because fish stocks are very high and risk depleting baitfish populations.

Most of my smaller eastern Ontario lakes I fish I fish catch and release 80-90% of fish I catch. I mainly fish the Great Lakes for meat and fun. Lake Ontario for salmon and trout and Lale Erie for walleye.

Also have taught a high school course on Natural Resource management for 13 years and running a high school fishing club to teach teens about fishing and conservation.

Today was day two of fishing yesterday was too easy we caught 25 walleye in less than 2 hours fishing time. So today we went looking for rainbow trout which have been rare catches due to warm water and the fish being way offshore .... 30 to 40 minutes run straight out from shore.

We made a long run out into Lake Erie and did find a couple rainbow trout today plus some giant 10-12 pound sheephead, some silver bass, white perch and of course our main target, nice tasty walleye.

Most of the walleye we are catching are between 2 on 3 pounds, but just at the end of trip today we hooked into a very nice surprise.... a very nice 11 pound walleye to end the day.

Celebrated a great weekend with family and friends with a nice walleye dinner, heading home Monday morning.

Next weekend heading in the opposite direction to Lake Nippissing for the Ontario Bass Federation Provincial Championships bass tournament.
