In the UK they used to mix sherry in with that type of mix. Best use for it in my opinion but never mind!

good luck Ross! whats the recipe? one time I was float fishing a minnow for trout down at the sarnia grain elevators... I caught a massive "brown" on 6lb line and fought it for 15 minutes being careful not to loose it. when the fish finally had enough and I was able to reel in the beautiful massive "trout" it suddenly turned into a 22lb carp!!! what a bunch of fun and a tonne of disappointment! it took a minnow 8' down. top three fish fights of my life, 18lb catfish on 6lb line followed by a very nice pike on a perch rod.

well I think its time to go fishing Ross! CHEERS

What's in there Ross? I've used sweet corn soaked in Kool-Aid, in row bags with some luck, but not as much as I'd like :)

Good grief, I can't edit properly.
ROE, not row.

In this mix I use flour ,cornmeal , mix to consistency wanted (dryer the better for me ) then usually mix a pkg of strawberry freshie in but couldn't find @ local store just a big 5$ can of koolaid so got a liquid strawberry thingamajig that you sguirt into your water glass to flavour plus salt to taste .Mix all up let dry for awhile then hand roll into balls & dry on paper towel over night . Place in sealed sandwich bag with some cornmeal & shake like shake & bake & place in fridge till go fishing or use right away . This recipe I've used since I was shown at 8 years of age . Works well on a bottom hook & a slide sinker bout 18" up line . Only change I've made is using a circle or octopus hook so they don't gut hook . Still have enough left for 2-3 batches depending on size a boillies .You bet Al some of my best fights have been on light line & pole & surprises as well . Luck all gonna try out tomorrow after all the weekenders go home .
Jan I've found if using corn use feed corn its firmer . Soak in water for about 12 hrs then boil till becomes squeezable soft but doesn't split or mush . Use this way on hook or mix into flour & also use for chumming with a sling shot . Luck
