Rains stopped all quiet ....

Just heard a Gobble out behind

Ross we saw "something" in a field of spring wheat just up the road as we were driving past a couple days ago. Stopped and beeped the horn and we both thought it had moved but couldn't tell what it was. Hubby got out and walked towards it and then sheepishly came back to the truck and said I think it's a turkey decoy because it's bobbing but didn't even look at me. So we laughed our way to the store thinking about someone sitting in the bush watching us.
Later that day it had crossed the road to a different field and hubby got a better look at at and sure enough it was an actual turkey lol. Neither of us had ever seen one so oblivious!

Yep , wish it was that easy to find or not spook um when your hunting . Saw 3 hens & 2 toms the other day when I was out spotting in a field I don't have permission , yet , to hunt. They were bout 200 yds away & as I drove by on gravel road they spooked into bush . Go figure turkeys . Luck
