well I watched a hen for a couple hours slowly making her way across a few hundred yards. I watched a raptor of some sort hunting which was really neat, especially when it would hover in the air for half a minute before making its move. seen a whole bunch of different song birds and a few mallard ducks but no toms. I think the reason why they leave this bush in the spring is because its more a swamp than it is a forest. there is absolutely no signs of turkeys here. my next time out I'm guna check out the other bush on the landlords side, its a swamp in the back but not so much at the front.
I may have to look else where.

Our turkeys here don't like to get wet feet either. Swamp is like a natural barrier. And we got lots of it this year!
