man that looks great Ross. remember when you came to pick it up and i was trying to come up with a shooting rest that folded up over head kinda thing... I like yours much better. its simple and I think what I have on mine is to much. im guna cut it off and do what you did.

mines been in the bush since the ground was last froze. it still needs to be lifted up a bit and tied off but its on a game trail and the deer walk right by it. I hope I get a deer this year, im guna try a lot harder than ever before any way.

thanks for sharing the design with me Ross, it was great building them. I still havent hunted from mine yet, cant wait.

I finally got my stand standing up all the way and secured. I sat in it for a couple hours the other day. with a boat seat it is sooooo comfy and I could definitely sit there all day with no complaints. thanks for that idea Ross! I was really happy to put that broken boat seat (that almost through me out of my boat when the back let go :-) ) back to use! I scraped up some earth out front and started a mock rut. need to take a hammer out there and make some mock scrapes. deer tracks all around and cant wait to get out there, im feeling lucky this year. I found the rest I made needs to be shortened by about 6" but will work perfectly.

ya I ment to take a salt block out there with me but forgot it on the work bench. I did that road salt trick at the old place and they used it all the time. I do not have a game cam... its on the wish list...
