Hunting season ?

For all you hunters out there, it sounds like a shooting range here (EO, Ottawa valley), and I tried to figure out what they are actually shooting at and accept for some good rabbit recipes found nothing :)

nothing is open right now with the exception of coyote which doesn't close in more than half of Ontario.

they probably are just shooting. Although I have not looked into the regs yet it should be like 6 weeks before seasons start opening. early goose and then duck season should be the first seasons open if I remember correctly.

Are you near orchards? It could be a bird scare tactic if you are.

Plenty of coyotes here, maybe that's what they are after.
Seem to be here every Saturday morning with a truck and a 4 wheeler, traveling in to the unopened road and wetland that is totally the Dry land now.

Yeah there is nothing open except in areas with year round seasons on yotes, foxes or farm predators. Could be just having fun plinking too....

I’m hearing the same thing this morning. There are multiple shots in a row, so I was wondering what the heck they could be shooting. Maybe they’re just really bad shots? Haha

Last night about 10pm they were shooting at...what the heck can you see at night....who knows but they were out there shooting at something. Guessing, it probably notma great time to be shooting...might trip or something....lol
