Any video of the babies? There was an adult near our old cottage that sat on a hydro wire in a particular spot. To the south there was forest to the north there were fields. I rarely saw them anywhere else except for that one spot.

Nice to see and great pics of them.
The last place we had in Prince Edward County had a row of tall spruce trees at the back of our lot and a pair of kestrels took up residence in them and had 2-3 chicks. They were great fun to watch but it was quite the racket when they all left the nest and were flying and being fed in the trees!

I miss them already. @Ontario Chick I have a spare kestrel box we could put up at your place if you have a ladder. The tree it's in needs to come down.

Is it possible for a raccoon to get into the kestrel house? What size is the opening?
