what's up?

Post by chicken » Sat Mar 16, 2024 2:32 pm

I left a gap at the top of the coop for ventilation so now when I walk in at roosting time I get to see this and it makes me laugh every darn time! Just wanted to share!

She's probably laying up there....LOL. You'll know when it gets warm in the summer if it starts smelling funny in there! I have 3 girls that fly 16 feet up onto a 2x4 just under the barn loft. They fly straight up...somehow. Little buggers. LOL

She is sitting on a roost inside the coop part, above the window on the left. We left a gap at the top for ventilation.

Just asking, the gap is proofed with small hardware cloth or similar?

No it's not she couldn't get through it, just her head. The coop is totally predator proofed.
