Also is the chick supposed to be super active after being born? Flipping all over the place.

:jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: We took the 2 red plugs out and now the humidity is at 70%. All 8 eggs have pipped. Should we try to get the humidity back to 60% by keeping the 2 red plugs out?

Please go to Twitch TV and search for v3g3m1te to see the chick. Is it supposed to be so active? Is it ok if the chick is knocking all the egs around?

Temp. is 99.5 and the humidity is 69%. Is it ok for us to put a tiny bit of food colouring on the chicks feathers tomorrow so we can tell them apart?

Is it ok for us to keep a light on to watch the hatch or should we turn our light off. Will the light disturb the chicks?

t is very normal for the chick to crash around like that. SHe will probably have taken a nap overnight too Even the eggs may move around as the chick shifts position while hatching. I wouldn't open the incy to colour the chicks. @Kbr42 will likely be along to comment soon.

Don't open the incubator until they are completely dry. If you only have 8..you should be able to put colouring on them as you remove them once they are completely dry.
