Lucky they are good swimmers, at least it's only a pair, the ducks should take a hint.

Yes, ducks can drown when being swarmed by males! AT least Trumpeters mate for life!

Went to the same spot for a picnic lunch today and the swans demanded a retake waaaaayyyy too close! Piics to follow. ALso loons are back.

So I was on the end of the dock when these flew in, the next shot was blurry as I ducked and they swerved!

This was very close so I moved away quietly.

Then they came and stood on the dock for quite a time. Must be used to people because there was no aggression.

There used to be a captive breeding pair here a while ago but it's no longer necessary.
