RIP Freddie

Post by Killerbunny » Sat Nov 16, 2019 7:16 pm

RIP Sir Frederick the Tom turkey. He loved people (a little too much sometimes LOL) and was a terrific chap and breed ambassador. This afternoon he latest cold snap proved too much for his heart. He will be missed!
Here are some pics with our Housesitter in October.

Awww, Freddie ... hope you're reunited with all your turkey buddies that passed before you
(and I think you may have dodged the bullet having to live through the coming winter).

So sorry for your loss. At least he won't have to go through the misery of a bitterly cold long winter.

He was 4. That's not bad for a Tom because of their high stress Lifestyle, he still insisted on displaying although that had declined recently. He spent his last few days with the younger turkeys (aka Hellbeasts) because they would fly into his pen and keep him company.

Wel that's rather sad...I know how you cherish your birds, Gill....actually, my last few visits with you and Vian have almost convinced me to get a few turkeys..and those 'hellbeasts' as you call them are the sweetest things...loved their temperaments....you have truly nice birds and Freddie, I am sure, will be missed

Oh that is too bad to hear about Freddie. He had the best life any turkey could have had under your care. RIP Freddie.
