They sleep like that a lot, draped over each other. I think it comes from being womb mates for so long.

Disbudded at 6 days old. I hate the job, but needs to be done for my place. They cry when its happening, but about 5 min later, they don't seem to remember. Wish all my hurts were like that.

Cleo is a first timer. Training her to the milking stall. She needs emptied and massaged once a day to try to prevent any chance of mastitis. See how bright pink her bag is in the one pic?

She thought laying down would deny access to foreigners, but the intruder found another way. Still some kicking and a trial to both to get the job done, but perseverance will get us there. Fourth day now, and its getting pretty good. I am expecting within a week it will be old hat for her, and I will be able to milk her forever.

Interesting!
Gosh they seem to have grown in a short time. Do you neuter/ring them at birth or if not when?

Not now. I prefer to sell them as pets if I can, so they (might) live a long life. If you neuter them now, the testosterone levels cause them to develop somewhat differently, the plumbing doesn't get as big, and it can cause problems as adults. If they are not for butcher for sure, you leave it till after two months.
