BYE, BYE Picasso....I will miss you
Why is it that the sweetest, cutest, most gentle rooster is always the one who dies????
I have had many "Spawns of Satan" roosters get a free ride.
Yesterday I went to the coop & there dead on the floor was "Picasso"
No marks on his body & thank goodness no one else is sick
Picasso was a frizzle sizzle splash silkie
I didn't breed him last year bc I thought we were moving
Now his pretty females are roo-less
I may move the 3 girls ( a splash hen, a blue hen, & a black frizzle sizzle hen )
into the other WHITE silkie pen. At least they will have 3 hens & a roo to cuddle with.
Just can't leave them there long enough to mix up the eggs.
Well anyway, I'm posting a pic of Picasso having his pic taken @ the Pet Shop.
Everyone oooohed & awwwwed @ how well behaved & Handsome he was.
Will miss the little man, he was such a sweetie

RIP Picasso
Yes it always seems to be your favorite that dies and I too have lost a beautiful male and not got any babies from him always thinking I had lots of time.

RIP Picasso. Sorry you lost him, @Poultryprincess . He sounds like he was a great little rooster.
