Beautiful I find my quail more quiet than my chickens, not at all disturbed by being picked up.

@kenya , Yes, in many ways most of them are quieter, but there are some exceptions.
Most can be hand tamed, but not all. We have a few that scatter the minute we come into view. Petra is one example, and Silverman can be pretty elusive too. Maybe that's a rooster trait?

But they’re so small and don’t take up much space and don’t eat much and are cold hardy and....oops I should stop before I want some too!

They are and when you hatch out quail chicks they are so tiny and cute!
