Yes, egg color is carried by the rooster, but the blue egg gene is also tied to having a pea comb.

Update on Clanger at 13 weeks. He looks a lot like Lenny @Brebis
He is taller than his broody Mum now but she doesn't seem to want him gone yet.

Yes, he looks a lot like Lenny, though Lenny has more black and crowed well before i could tell he was a rooster and he doesn’t stop!

I had a pullet that made strange croaky noises while she was practicing her big girl voice, so there's still a chance, right? :idunno:
