I am really disappointed about those eggs. Let me know if you need any more to try. I do wonder if they had got wet when they hid them in that stash I told you about.
Wyandottes - I have had one this year doing the same thing, sitting on an empty nest in the grasses and being all pissy but at night going to roost Thank goodness she's quit now. None have the others have had the urge.

Not to worry KB, I wasn’t too careful with her when she was first sitting on them as I left her in with the others for part of a week before I could set up a separate spot and by then several of the eggs got broken and she was always fighting off others popping in. It was quite stinky by the end even though I did throw out some I thought would blow so I was quite surprised I got anything. I also think though she’s a dedicated mum her brooding skills were a little lax the 2 times I’ve let her do it as she didn’t seem to always have the eggs covered when I checked on her despite being a good sized hen.

Though it’s tempting to get more eggs I think I’ll stop while ahead!
