Re: My Ameraucanas
The blacks pictured appear to be male the splash a female and the blue I'm on the fence as to male or female because in the pictures its comb seems a little red, not as red as the blacks though so it could still be female.

Thanks Kenya! I hope one of the black ones is a female. I will post some more pictures when they are a little older. I love them!

@kenya Here is a couple of pictures of my rescued Ameraucana..I'm thinking rooster but I just don't know. Only a single row in the comb. The pictures make it look picked than it is...just thought I would ask anyway.
Thanks

Re: the rescued Ameraucana, I am leaning towards pullet ... but it's early days yet, probably too soon to guess.

I'm liking that...and early days. This is my first one so I really don't have any experience with the breed.

For KRB42's rescued Ameraucana....is that a standard Ameraucana colour? Does it change as it matures? Or is it a very beautiful Easter Egger?

Re: My Ameraucanas
Judging by the colour and yellow legs and no muffs or beard, not an ameraucana, I would be inclined to think it's a pretty pullet of undetermined breed until she starts laying :)

I'm thinking cockeral easter egger. I'm saying cockeral as the comb looks pretty red but that could just be the picture.

Re: My Ameraucanas
Afraid I have to agree that it's most definitely not an Ameraucana...and, unless it's a Legbar cross, she will not lay coloured eggs at all, they will be some shade of brown, beige or tinted. Good news is, I think it's a pullet! But, don't quote me on that just yet
