OK so I decided to plant in bags of triple mix this year to see how that worked. Wrong! The chickens go, "see how she's pointed out the young juicy plants for us".

Lol oh KB thanks for the warning! I typically don't let the chickens in the front yard for this very reason (and they love to poop on the front deck) but they saw the gate open and made a break for it

On the deck, on the steps, on the paths, in the driveway...poop everywhere but in the flowerbeds lol. Although, I have a goose nesting in one of them, and her 'attendants' (two ganders) keep all the chickens away from that bed. You know it's just calling their name too, with all the lovely loose dirt just begging to be turned over and bathed in. Hence all the poop in the driveway--the chickens stand there and stare longingly at the goose-guarded flowerbed :-)

I just found Freddie the Tom, dusting in the flower bed with the chickens. He swears they said it was OK!
