My mother always used to say I was like a bull in a china shop. Maybe that explains why I like these guys lol.

So the chick in the front in that first picture has been chest bumping the chicks twice his size from the first chance he had. The one in back started tidbittng for me to come get his oat flakes he found tonight. Theyre one week old! Jeez Louise. From my experience so far Cochin pullets are very docile and don't display Cockerel tendancies. Hopefully I'm wrong. This makes me regret NOT buying the adorable week old bantam Easter eggers at Burl's Creek today even more than I already was :(

I've realized over the past couple days that one of these guys actually has a problem that I've never encountered before. He was continuing to run funny and I noticed he always favoured his right leg and lifted it up at an odd angle when he was walking occasionally. Like something was stuck on his foot and he was trying to get rid of it. Upon inspection I see nothing wrong with his foot or leg-no abrasions or swelling or discoloration. But I do see what looks like a bruise (or even a hernia) and swelling on his belly on that side (so where his leg would rub against his belly as he walked) He's eating, drinking, pooping and growing the same as the others and he doesn't act sick. As his wing feathers begin to come in that wing seems to be held at an odd angle as well-higher on the body and his feathers stick out. Will try to get pics or a video later today after work. Anybody seen anything like this before?

Yes I had one like that eventually as it got older it appeared something was wrong with the joint. Don't know if that's the same as yours or not.
