Re: Three amigos
ok Any guesses what these two are? Or at least what colour/pattern I can expect as adults?
They just hatched April 8th.

I’m also starting to see a dot on my little Cochin guys head so he may just be barred. That’s odd because it wasn’t there until now.

Re: Three amigos
Glad to see they're all settled in.
A few of the breeds are but not limited to are as follows, buff Orpington, Rhode island, Ancona, columbian/barred rocks, Sussex, astrolorps, gold laced wyandotte, brown and black leghorns possibly a commercial strain of Marans(though not many had feathered legs nor were any eggs dark, all the same shade of light brown), the laying flock is all pure but I'm thinking they're all running together, if I had the space to keep the mixes and pures segregated it would be neat to see who's who when they feather out.
I'm curious to know what breeds some are, some have beards like ameraucanas, the 2-3 silver ones and mostly lots of solid white chicks with random black dots on their backs

Re: Three amigos
They’re very cute and it’s kind of exciting to see how they’ll turn out. The original little Cochin screamed and jumped to get out of that cage last night forever. It’s not helping that they’re in the living room lol.

Spoiled little buggers, oh well, at least everybody's happy! Only question I have, is how are you going to cuddle them all at night without squashing them in your sleep?

Re: Three amigos
Only problem is you could end up with chickens that waltz into the kitchen for their treats. I swore Kbr to secrecy so nobody knows! I used to have one girl who could open the screen door if it wasn't latched tight.
