Re: Community feed bowl
Every month, we collect entries for a monthly photo contest from people on the forum. one entry per person per month, and the first 10 people that enter are included that month (we only have 10 spots each month due to constraints with the programming).
on or about the 15th (usually 15 or 16 or so) of the month we open up voting where everyone on the forum can vote for their favorite photo. voting goes to the end of the month, and the winner is announced on the 1st of the next month. Their photo then appears in the reply box for everyone to see and it lives there for the month.
At the end of the year, in december we have a year end vote off for the best photo of the year, so all the photos from each month that won are entered automatically and the best photo for the year ends up in the top banner of the forum. We also put together a calendar with all the winners from each month of the year and make it available electronically.
the only real rules are you must have taken the photo-no lifting them off the internet!!!!
they don't need to be photos of YOUR animals, but you must have taken the photo.
submit your photo here viewforum.php?f=94 when you submit the admins and you can see your entry only, not everyone, then the admins (usually poultry_admin) puts the contest together and the voting page, and then activates it for the voting.
and the voting is here Photo Contest and click on the topic for the current month.
