Some budgie pics are requested....
Yoshi's best trick is being upside down, Yoshi swinging in his rings, Indy and Yoshi together, and Indy's solo shot.

Thank you - so sweet. I'm very tempted to get some indoor tweety birds for winter fun, gets real cold hanging out in the turkey coop in Jan!

Used to have budgies years ago. Absolutely loved them. They both talked and gave little pecks when asked to kiss. Very smart birds if you spend the time with them

So... are they friendly? Loveable? Handable? Tame....can you let them loose in the house?? My mother in laws bird is such a freak.... it got out on her once, a while ago now... and I grabbed it, and it just about put a hole in my hand, the little so and so. Tough little

s, with a BIG bite.

My step mother had them in the sun room in one of the many places we lived. They were very sweet and entertaining - and smart. I used to sneak in and just sit with them sometimes - the sun-room was out-of-bounds to me, so this was a risk. Hmm, seems birds have always been my go-to place when I just needed some peace and understanding.

My sisters had budgies when we were kids. I never wanted one, as I couldn't stand to see them in a cage. Which was ultimately their downfall--I let them out one day (as I usually did when I was home alone with them) to fly around, without first checking that all the cats were out of the house. Which reminds me, I still owe them both new budgies.

Yes if they are not tame they will defend themselves. I understand the females are more likely to bite and be harder to tame. I have joined a couple of budgie groups and it is amazing what some people can do with them. They fly freely around the house, love to be with their people and some even learn to talk. The key is hand raising them very shortly after hatching. They are also more likely to bond with their people if they are alone.
