Haha it was for a short time. If things go as planned my extra cuckoo malines I produce next year, that I don't select for breeding will be my main meat bird.

We have a similar rooster, right now, with our BSL's - a barred rock, cochin mix. I call him Barred Rock Bert. He's not quite the "gentleman rooster" as our Humphrey (a Frey's Special Dual Purpose), but he is a better size for the hens.
