Thanks Everyone!
sooo I just finished making my first maple syrup EVER! HOLY CRAP is it ever good! I didnt have much sap to start with but i pictured 1/40th of what i had, turned into maple syrup would be enough..... soooo I slow boiled it all day on the wood stove. then finished it on the kitchen stove when I got a lil impatient and hot because its not really even cold outside LOL. I cant bring myself to put anymore wood on the fire!
sooo without a candy thermometer and running on pure instincts, no previous knowledge, I created this and HOLY CRAP is it ever good!
I only have 2 taps, I need about 8 more LOL.

Love the egg-sorters, so cute!
Nothing tastes as good as your own maple syrup, especially if it's a hair overdone, so sweet and delicious!

AL... You might be a redneck! Be warned Al, do something temporary around the farm here usually means 10 years. I just got some ducks as well... Rouens. $50 for 5 birds, i figured a deal at typical spring prices... Of course it cost me $30 in gas and $45 for lunch at an "out of the way" restaurant we like and happened to go by.. Darn chicken math...
