Vacation

Post by Killerbunny » Sat Sep 09, 2017 5:58 pm

We have been on vacation locally this week, staying in our pop-up on the property and going canoeing. This morning we went to the Millpond Conservation area near the Rideau and saw this - very exciting, never seen it before.
First we noticed a doe swimming across and getting out.

Then she turned and looked back and started to call

Then these 2 little fawns swam across to her!

Thing is this is all very local and accessible. We've seen some neat stuff this week, perhaps more even than when we go North and remote. The critters are more used to people. We also practice quiet paddling which helps. SHe was very aware of us the whole time.
