They're backyard mixes. All sorts of things went into their makeup, as I'm looking for a specific colour pattern. The one on the left will likely look something like this one:

Two weeks old now, and they just spent an hour yesterday evening getting to know their outdoor space - the junior coop and run within the main run. The junior coop isn't quite finished yet, so they are still in the brooder in the laundry room at least one more day. This picture is of first introductions to Twyla and Penelope.

Reminds me of a book I had as a kid "Are you my mother?"
My 2 week olds have taken over the chicken run since the rest free range and Little wants to murder them. She still has her 5 in tow and she thinks the other chicks are a threat I guess.
