Stella was afraid of her own shadow and had no idea how to interact with others once her mom chased her away. She screamed bloody murder if I picked her up. She's much calmer now with this little flock and seems to be learning how to be a flock member. It took several days of her trying to run from them! She and the younger Cochin girl seem especially friendly so thats good since girls are staying.

Millie LOVES her big sister Stella and they make a fuss to sit beside each other every night. Maggie is an independent little so and so and I've found her in the rafters by herself since Little's thugs have left.

Bottom photo is the nameless boys!

I pulled this thread up to add a couple new pics and had to read through it. @windwalkingwolf I laughed and laughed at some of your comments lol.
Here’s my latest baldy chick. One of the tweedles. One is clearly slower at feather growing than the other.

Sherman is “ok” with Stella but she’s not a favourite. Her two sisters are. Stella is an odd girl. She is together but seperate of the flock. She doesnt get involved in politics...she’s a creature of routine more than any other chicken I’ve seen. She and Millie (the only other pure Cochin) remind me of those spinster sisters from the Waltons (omg I’m old lol) except Millie is the tart that flirts with the rooster and Stella chastises her for it. Ok I really need to get a social life

@Happy , Just curious: did you name Sherman after one of the lead characters on "The Jeffersons"?

Yes! I was going to name them George and Weezy but I had two uncle Georges so it just didn't feel right. But that rooster reminded me so much of that character with his cocky little strut so I named him after the actor Sherman Hemsley.
