Now it's looking like a girl! I'm glad mine are pretty easy to sex at around a month old, I love playing the What Am I guessing game, but your chicks would drive me 'round the bend!

Re: the ONE
Still only one row of beads at 2 month, so I think "Solo" is a girl, what are the chances, when this one and only time I actually wanted a rooster? :)

Not as terrified as before, more of an avoidance issues now will not come for a treat, while the mom flies up to try to get to the treat before I have time to bend and hand it over.
Her voice has gone a bit deeper from the original piercing shriek, which is just as well, since the broody laid a first egg yesterday so the ""weaning" is pretty much completed and introduction to the rest of the girls is imminent.

Re: the ONE
URRGH. Is she a splash? Looks very dilute if she is, so even if she were a boy (we'll get to that in a second), I'm not sure she'd be a 'good' boy.
OK. Boy/girl question thing. I think it's a boy, an underdeveloped boy like Happy's weird non-feathered thing. That bright pink on his face makes me think boy. He's too young to be pinking up for laying, and there are still those long boy toes to consider...though in all fairness, those toes are now in better proportion to his adolescent body....so it could go either way. Early maturing girl or boy with comb issues. Either way, from your pics, he looks almost solid white, so unless you are breeding whites, what would you use him for? Dilute splash will just make further dilute blues and splashes. It's one of those things that you have to get absolutely right within one or two generations. Breeding splash is not for the faint of heart, short of time, or empty of wallet.

Re: the ONE
If this is a boy I will eat my hat (don't quote me on that)
Yes very dilute Splash.
I see an elegant young lady, with long French manicure
If this is a male, then one of those undecided ones?
As I am not planning to sell hatching eggs anymore, it was just a question of any Ameraucana male, to breed replacement layers.
