The grand total of a hatch beset by problems, 2 eggs broken 2 eggs thrown out of the nest and by the time one finally hatched she just took it out of the nest thus successfully whittled it down to an only child. Not that there is anything wrong with an "only" child
So mom, are we eating of the plate or of the ground?
Nothing to see here...move along, move along

I just noticed your waterer, is that a normal base with a mason jar or do you have to buy a special one?

Well, there you go, I rest my case :)
Yes Kenya, it's a Mason jar, some stroke of brilliance on somebody's part, marvel at it every year as supply of Mason jars in this house is endless and I think the base is something like $ 1.50 comes in green and yellow too.
