Sorry, but those ducks would have to live inside, who would dare to let them out?
Same goes for tragopan, never mind Aviary KB, your house has plenty of space to accommodate few pheasants and little cute duckies.

Heck if you're gonna have a bird beauty contest than wood ducks have to be in on this!

Onagadori Chicken, designated a Special National Monument in Japan, it is illegal to take them outside of the country. the Cockbird can grow a tail from 12-27' LONG! WOW! Trying to find a very nice pic has proven a bit difficult.

We have those on the back creek/marsh, glad I am not responsible for their safety, frankly they look "improbably" beautiful !

Lots of mandarin ducks used to be used in UK as ornamentals on park ponds, lovely things!

This pic from their site: what kind of bird lays a black egg??? They do school presentations.

Hmmm...we should do a PTO group tour on a Saturday or Sunday in January: its less than a 2 hour drive for many of us and we can have lunch somewhere. We can meet in Ottawa for breakfast and carpool from there. Bring the kids, grandkids, spouses....

jaye, oc, www, Jimw, killerbunny, Tom, and others

Emu has dark eggs

I would take the kids.
