COOL!
Top picture, I think Svart Hona on the left (your right hand lol) and ayam on the right,
Bottom picture I think opposite--ayam on the left and svart on the right. But, it's a best guess, based on size in the top picture and down colours in the bottom pic.

Jaye was right Ayams on the left side (my right hand) in both photos. The only real difference at the moment is that the Ayam seem to have a longer neck, but looking at photos and reading on the internet as adults most people say pretty much impossible to tell apart.

The down colour seems to lighten a bit as they grow.

Some are definitely starting to show larger combs, but don't know if that means anything or not, some of the Ayams (I have 8) are different ages.

Baron I love the licence plate, but as Ross pointed out not sure how that would go over a school.

Can I toe punch older chicks, I thought that was usually done at day old?

For now I would like some way to mark the Svart honas, (I only have 2 at the moment), just incase they get mixed up with the Ayams.

When they are older I will leg band them or wing band them. Right now the Svarts have white nail polish applied every couple days, just incase they get mixed with the Ayams, but would like a better short term marking solution.

I took a few photos today. My Svart hona photos ended up blurry, so will have to try again. But here are 2 photos of the Ayam cemani.

Wow wow wee wow! I didn't know a breed like that exists! Such interesting looking birds. Guess I better start Googling chicken breeds again!
