Well here is the result of my last hatch of the year. Not happy with this hatch at all, out of 22 eggs that made it to lock down only 8 hatched. I had put the incubators in the basement office to hatch, no the warmest room in the house and of course basement a bit damp. The last hatch I did even with the power outage I got a decent hatch rate but then I kept the incubators in the rec room by the wood stove.
Sooo lesson learned not hatching in the office EVER again!!
Happy that I do have a few that made it, so here are the fuzzy little butts...........

Pretty little chicks. (Maybe next year I will be able to hatch some).

They look pretty lively, not a great spring for hatching, I am doing nothing but adjusting temperature on the incubator, even when set bit too high in the evening, drops bit too low by morning.

Too bad about your hatch, that's maddening. At least you got some chicks, you will try again though won't you? What kind of incubator are you using?

No kenya I am not setting anymore this year. I am letting a broody EO have a go at some eggs, but I have my niece getting married in June and my son on the Canada Day weekend, too many things going on.
I have Brinsea OvaEasy incubators with turned and automatic humidity pump. Very accurate but the room temperature made a huge difference.

Too bad about your hatch. It's disappointing to only get a few. I have my first hatch in the incubator finally, heading to the end of day 1. I haven't hatched any since 2014 so I hope I do a good job. Time will tell. :)
