Whole Foods

I was at whole foods in Oakville the other day.

First time I have seen green/blue eggs in a grocery store. And the term heritage irks me. I asked the dairy employee why these eggs were more ($3.99 for 6) he actually said to me that the blue ones were healthier. I said can you prove that? He got another employee (mgr?) and I suggest that they re-educate themselves on egg nutrients and we had a little talk. No victims, I'm not always a super b*tch. At the end of it, that's just what he is being told from the higher up. I said, well if you're truly interested if you're bullshitting your customers or not, do some of your own reasearch and share with the ones who are telling you this crap. They aren't even fed organic feed. We had some laughs, like when I said chickens don't have super powers, you can't feed them poop and they produce gold. Was a cool dude!

If I didn't need some items for baking (because of Joshs allergies) I would of left my items and said call me when you get your facts sortee.

Never ceases to amaze me ...the crap people are told to sell and take money for nothing in return...public education is truly lacking...we somehow need to know why King Henry VIII 'needed' another wife, but haven't got an idea where our food comes from...

Those eggs are probably more because they cost more to produce. I'll bet they are raised and fed exactly the same as "free range" red sex links. And yet somehow they would have seemed more authentic if they had a photo of the right breed on the egg box.

A dozen organic free ranged eggs were cheaper than a dozen (2 half dozen cartons) of non-organic pastel eggs. That was why I questioned the employee(s)

On closer inspection of the label, that's a funny looking Ameracauna on there!

The eggs were definitely more green than blue. One was blue-ish.

Had some friends in BC. Had chickens, some easter eggers. Someone had convinced the lady of the house that the blue eggs had no cholesterol. I think that is one we should get going strong, would make them worth a lot more. Even if its not true, so what?
