A few of my feathered and furry friends

I was stargazing laying on the dock of the family cottage when i was a kid and we had a pair of dock spiders that were probably 3 or 4 inches across (leg span) and i fell asleep and woke up when one decided i was nice and warm and was crawling across my face.....
i had never seen a dock spider before. I thought it was a tarantula and screamed so loud i woke my parents up in the house lol the thing was bigger than the lens on my flashlight!!!! My dad thought is was hilarious and i thought my momwas going to pass out. After that i could not leave the poor things alone, and by the end of the summer it would eat little pieces of hamburger out of my hand. Lol

I know for a guy it sounds bad, but spiders are just not my thing. I know people keep saying they only have eight legs but when they are running at you I think it's more like seventy eight. I have been bitten by the little ba... buggers enough times to know they are not "harmless" and last summer one really did a job to my back leg. OC there are a lot of spiders in the hay fields that are so close to a Canadian version of tarantula it's unbelievable, you probably got one of those lol.

On a funny note, I never feel more like a big baby when I'm playing with little chicks in the basement and suddenly a huge furry spider drops down, for a split second I'm ready to yell "run for your lives" while the baby chicks are thinking "wow nummy treat"!

That's okay.. if I see a snake I'm a 250 screaming girl! Or frogs.. yes I'm terrified of frogs.. I own tarantulas, wrestle with my 200lbs mastiff but you get a frog and show me... I'm out!!
