Thank-you! Another one to add to my wish list lol. Right after your rhodebars! Ok spell check keeps changing rhodebars to forehead lol. Really glad I checked that before I hit submit...

Come visit me i have at least 7 of them right now....boys of course.

How on earth do they get forehead from rhodebars??!! Nevermind...dont want to know.

I think some of kenyas birds might be related to some of mine. I really love the blue wheaten look. And mine are actually pretty good at protecting! Had one save a good half of my flock from coyote/dog crosses one year. Just about killed himself in the process.

Would love to but I'm not set-up to add another rooster. And I could be newly single if I snuck a chicken in right now

We get Bald eagles here in spring, this area is mostly cow/calf farming and they come because there is plenty of after birth left over from the cows calving. They also come to wolf kills during the day when the wolves are hiding.

An owl carried off my neighbor's Rouen duck, those are big ducks so the owl must have been powerful.

My big Tom turkey was hit by a large owl at dusk in the spring, claw marks in his ear canal and twisted neck. OK now but a long recovery.

Two years ago we had a bald eagle in a tree in the pasture where my mom and goat kids were. I also had chickens free ranging so I tried to "shoo" it away. Bad idea, it swooped at me and scared the

out of me. I went to the house for hubby and a gun. No we did NOT shoot a bald eagle, but we thought shooting off the gun would scare it. It didn't work, it swooped at hubby with the gun. We brought all our critters inside and the eagle was still in the tree at dark, but gone the next morning. We never saw it again. Beautiful, impressive animal, but glad he never came back.

Ha! Ha! Protect the flock, not likely, my roosters are the first to run for cover leaving the girls behind, the girls see them run and follow them.
