Re: Tripled in size at one week old!
Thanks, @windwalkingwolf . It still needs modifications for winter, but so far is working well. We bought the John Suscovich book "Stress-free chicken tractor plans" and modified his design a little to suit our needs.
DH installed a nipple watering system yesterday and they took to it immediately. No more switching out their waterers every day. Until the temps go below freezing. I will probably only need to refill the bucket once a week until I have to switch back to winter waterers.
Silverman is being a lech and tormenting the young females. We don't know which ones are males yet, and apparently it's best to move them all to their bachelor pen at the same time because they will kill any latecomers, so Silverman gets to behave badly until we hear crowing from the youngsters. There are several hidey holes, so the females can at least get away from him when he's on the prowl.
