Color projects in Orpingtons

Or at least no more than a few words!

It is actually an Italian chicken and a Spanish horse! I wondered if anybody would ever call me on it!!🙂
I have horses as well as chickens ( though not nearly as many thank goodness) and I got back into the chickens several years ago thanks to some Italian friends.
Mystery of the handle solved!! 😉

Kenya where were you when I was advertising that rooster last summer? I would have happily given him to you but he was a bit of a bad a$$!! 🙂

Hey, as good a reason as any for a handle, just wondered. Pollo is Spanish for chicken too.

OC that is quite true though I was not purposely trying to create too much of a mystery!
I had originally strongly considered Pollo Palazzo... as a tribute to my Italian friends for nudging me back into poultry husbandry but that is the name of their coop (maybe not so palacial but much larger than mine) so I opted for plan B. Horses are my first love I gotta admit!
Now maybe if I can figure out how to port the avatar picture from my photos I would post one of the horses as my avatar! ;)

Not so quick actually... but I can be persistent!! I had tried once or twice before to ad the avatar but my picture files were too large and I do not know how to reduce them in my phone. I did figure out how to on my home computer though... so since I was home today anyways I emailed them to myself and created a picture file there where I could edit them and resize them.
That horse is my mare and a real sweet heart!
