Re: New Arrival
He’s quite skittish but that means he has a healthy respect for me, so hope he understands the hierarchy!

OK I'm going out on a limb here, I think it's a pullet. She has such dainty little feet!

Re: New Arrival
So Mum dragged "her" out into the snow this am but they've retreated now. "She" is looking more like her biological Mum all the time, very petite. She'll be 3 weeks on Wednesday.

Re: New Arrival
Baby is growing like crazy and I still don't know the sex. I don't see hackles or sickles coming but there is quite a red comb. Now 7 weeks old. It is named as well - Clanger. It has a strange whispery tweet noise and if anyone knows the UK show "Clangers" that is what it sounds like.

Re: New Arrival
Here are the pics, nearly 8 weeks and I'm getting worried with the wattles and comb showing up. I don't really see any hackles or sickles but it's difficult with this patterning. I think if it' a boy I'll try to keep him as long as he gets along with Dad who is a lovely cool boy.Sorry they're fuzzy.
