Finally!!!...I think

Almost 9 long months I've been waiting for this day!
:stars:
I THINK this is my first Cochin egg but there's a chance my one BR just had an off day. Sophie looks ready to lay and she was the only one that went at the egg when I held it to them. Next few days will tell I guess. Only egg I got today but only 2 barred rocks are laying about every other day right now.
Egg pic is med size barred rock eggs either side.

What colour do you call her? I have a Marans hen just like that, but shades blacker toward the head than your girl. Got lots of her chicks that carry on the coulouring, but not going black toward the head, from her and a Blue Americauna roo. Great olive eggers.

Farrier1987. South of Chatham on Lake Erie. Chickens, goats, horse, garden, dog, cat. Worked all over the world. Know a little bit about a lot of things. No incubator, broody hens.

She's Blue. My other one has a darker head than this one.

And this tiny egg was a conspiracy to get me eggsited. Im pretty sure now it was my barred rock having an off day. The wait continues :(
