GRC, it's too bad that you didn't get the pics you wanted to enter some of your speckled sussex in the PTO online poultry show. They are lovely.
I am hoping that there will be a thread started soon to share the "do"s and "don't"s of prepping and photographing birds for the online show, as well as 'lessons learned' from the folks that entered the show. I learned a lot, and I'm sure all the other participants did too.

Very nice! I have a few questions for you. 1. How long have you been breeding them? 2. How heavy are they? 3. Do they feather out/mature faster than other birds?

Beautiful, just like Jay said too bad you didn't enter, the second picture is better then average pose, all you needed to do is put the soup can behind him, he would have never noticed.

Wouldn't it be great if you could take pictures of your chickens and then photo-shop a soup can in after if you want to enter a show? :) Maybe a new technique to consider.
Beautiful birds.

Thanks everyone :)
I thought about photo shop--lol.
Baron--I've been breeding them for about 6 or 7 years--although I've added new blood a few times during that time.
They are all at or over the standard for weight. They are nice and big--and so far still laying well.
And I have no idea how they compared to other breeds. They are all I have.
