I have never seen a more accurate flow chart...
I was in public school when the switch to metric was made and really got caught in the middle! For years I went by Celsius in the winter and Fahrenheit in the summer

Me too...I still measure in Fahrenheit in lots of places including my incubators...lol somehow when I see 38.5 I get crazy...

Me too Happy! Coming from England, I never understood the "really cold" temps, so I learned everything below freezing in C, but I still use F for warm temps. Thankfully, Weather Underground lets me have F :).

For bridges we use both because all old bridges are Imperial and all new ones are Metric. Also some manuals eg. AREMA for train design are from the United States and there is no Canadian Version. The reinforcing steel changed to Metric but wood is Imperial.

Pretty funny, when I came to Canada some 50 years ago, I put a lot of effort translating my grandmother cookbook from Metric, to Imperial, and was just about done, in time for Canada to go Metric
It left me with a very peculiar way of measuring many small things in metric and larger in both systems depending on who I talk to.
I now consider myself fully "bymesurable"
