All chicken information is pertinent to everything!!! :)
I think of it as dissemination of information that the poor masses have no access to and will be so much richer for it.
And absolutely guaranteed you will be remembered

Do NOT say to me "so I hear you have poultry?" because I can and will go on about them for hours. They are my news, weather, politics, drama, soap operas, current events, historical non-fiction, with some X-files thrown in.

And that's exactly why I don't ever get a 2nd invite
Not that I'm too worried about that!

And I get deep and geeky! I start naming breeds of chickens, and talk about auctions.
The toughest part is not getting all "smartass" when they ask really stupid questions such as "how do you heat the chicken coop?"
Then I get all redneck - yeah the grilled chicken - they're the unneeded roosters. It's tough when its colder, I have to pluck them in the basement.
aaahhh...the smell...
