Size matters
I am in Alberta visiting some friends. Brothers Jim and Steve, lifelong buddies. Sitting around with the wives after a wonderful venison roast, we were reminiscing about various hunting trips etc. and one of my favorite stories came up.
I went to high school with Bonnie and she was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, but a nice kind friendly girl, not terribly worldly. My friend Jim married her. She had worked at the post office many years, so was the source and spreader of all the local news.
A few years back, Jim got a moose. A week or so later, one of the neighbors asked if he had got drawn for cow moose in the area. No, I got a bull draw. Well, Bonnie had been telling everyone that he had shot a cow.
So Jim goes home and asks Bonnie, How come you are telling everyone I shot a cow moose It was a bull. And Bonnie looks at him as honest and sincere as the day is long and says. Well you said it was a big mother!

Re: Size matters
I just got back from Alberta. One of my stops was to see Jim and Bonnie, and she did another classic Bonnie for us.
They are thinking of coming to Ontario, Point Pele for the migration. So I told them they have a place to stay and the use of a vehicle. Wasn't sure which vehicle, they might need to use the truck, which has been used to haul goats some times.
I said if all four of us needed to go, Jim and Bonnie might have to ride in the back. Jim said "With the goats?" and I replied "Of course not with the goats, but there might be some goat berries. "
And Bonnie rewarded us with a classic. "Oh, goat berries, we don't have them here. What do they taste like?"
I love that woman.
