Re: Animal talk
Well my friends chickens prefer Sherpa or fleece lining so they can crawl inside to warm up. And must be a zipper not buttons so they can pull the zipper down to let me...I mean my friend...know when they’d like in.

Re: Animal talk
I see no problems whatsoever, I have a friend that's been known to sit near the chickens while preparing vegetables for supper, so she can share with them.

Well sounds like your "friend" enjoys her chickens and they enjoy her. They obviously have your I mean her number!

My friend, discusses daily newspaper articles with the chickens, because they are mostly for the birds, but the birds tend to poo poo the idea.

Re: Animal talk
yeah zip up hoodies....easier to warm up someone cold LOL. also comes in handy if multiple birds need moving. 2 under each arm and one in the hoodie....viola 5 birds at once!
and not red baseball caps. that really gets the roosters going.
and no red socks....especially if the birds see them, nothing like having your feet pecked around the ankles.
and soft gloves, so i can actually be gentle picking up birds in the winter. work gloves just are too stiff for me to be sure i'm not going to pull feathers or twist a leg or something.
and i do talk to my birds all the time. drives my hubby nuts....because apparently my conversational voice with the birds is the same as for him and he can't tell when i'm talking to him or the birds. LOL. (guilty as charged)

OMG I can't imagine someone holding FIVE birds at the same time! I'm such a newbie I just pick them up (very gently) one at a time......

Re: Animal talk
Me neither and I am not a newbie by any stretch of the imagination, I think it requires some strength of character and certain "devil may care" attitude, which I may be lacking completely

Re: Animal talk
I've had 3 inside a coat once lol.
I worked an afternoon/evening shift yesterday and boy did I get an earful this morning about the lack of service they received at bedtime last night lol. Hubby requires further training apparently.
